GRASPA-SIS is a permanent section of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) for environmental statistics, sustainability and territorial safety. Founded in 1995 as GRASPA (Gruppo di Ricerca per le Applicazioni della Statistica ai Problemi Ambientali), it gathers academics and professionals who are interested in statistical methods applied to environmental problems.
In the last decade, the group expanded both in terms of research interests and collaborations, promoting statistical and interdisciplinary research across air and water quality, epidemiology, earth sciences, and ecology. We look forward to building collaborations, supporting young researchers, and contributing to evidence-based solutions for environmental challenges.
